Laser Epilation

It is the procedure of sending energy produced by light waves under the skin while targeting and destructing hair follicles in the application area.

The Application

Laser Epilation is performed by sending laser beams of different wavelengths on to the areas with undesirable hair. Laser beams pass through the skin and are absorbed by the melanin pigment in the hair root. The absorbed laser beam heats the hair root and destructs it. The destructed hair follicle cannot produce new hair thus helping to get rid of undesired hair.

Frequently Asked Questions

Since Laser Epilation application aims to destroy the hair root, the area is relieved by air cooling so that you do not feel discomfort during the application.

Ideal age for laser hair removal is 12 years and over. Girls can start the procedure after they get their period.

Since there are no adequate clinical studies and definite results on this subject, laser epilation is not performed during pregnancy. There is no harm in having laser epilation during the breastfeeding period.

As a result of each laser epilation session performed on areas of the body, an average of 20% permanent reduction and thinning of the body hair structure can be achieved. This will provide a natural and aesthetic appearance. For example, you may prefer to get rid of your back hair completely, while only reducing the intensity of your chest hair by applying only 1-2 sessions of laser epilation.

The difference is the diameter. The finer hair has a smaller diameter compared to the coarse hair. Therefore, coarse hair can burn itself by absorbing the laser energy more quickly and the re-growth time is reduced. Since the fine hair cannot fully absorb the energy, it can grow back in a shorter time. This may result in a prolonged treatment period.

Although laser epilation varies depending on the age of the person, hair structure, skin color, suitability of the device used, whether the application is done regularly and similar factors, the desired result is achieved in an average of 6-8 sessions. Sessions are held every 6-8 weeks on average. Hairs will not grow between sessions. Laser epilation is performed again in the week when the hairs start to grow again. There is no control session in between.

Depending on the suitability of the skin and hair structure of the person, it can be applied to the required areas on the face as well as the whole body.

Laser epilation is performed in summer. If you are protecting yourself from the sun during the treatment, it can be applied during any season. In summer, you can protect yourself by using 30+ spf sunscreen.
