While complications such as sunburn can be seen frequently in vitiligo; It is reported that it may be associated with systemic diseases such as Pernicious anemia, Hyperthyroidism and Addison's disease.

Physical examination and questioning are sufficient for diagnosis. There is no need to resort to additional diagnostic methods.

Various locally applied medicines, as well as medicines that boost the immune system and general body resistance as well as laser therapy, light therapy are used in its treatment. One of the most recent treatments is PRP treatment. It can be applied in conjunction with other treatments, Q-switched laser and Pico lasers can be used to reduce the prominence of the colorless areas and soften the transition.
